Sobat is about 7 minutes by taxi from Seminyak, if the driver doesn't know
it tell him Jalan Batu Belig, Grand Balisani Suites Hotel.

Warung
(small
eating place) Sobat (friendly) Warung Sobat is a Balinese
family run business. Pak Made (pron: Mar-day, Pak means Mr in Indonesian)
and
his wife Kadek (pron: Car-deck) will look after you and ensure you
enjoy your stay. Pak Made’s family have owned the land where the
restaurant and their house is in Batu Belig since time immemorial. They
have 2 sons Gede and Dendi. Kadek, Pak Made’s wife hails from Buahan village,
Tabanan, about an hour away by car. Most of the staff also hail from Buahan.
Waiter Ketut is Kadek’s younger brother. They started the business years
ago, feeding the local building workers at a time when many tourist villas
were being built in the area. After they left, business was a bit slim
so Made decided to enlarge the dining area and cater to the new villa tourists
who arrived. The rest is history.
